Symmons originated and patented the principle of a fully pressure balancing mixing valve in the late 1940’s and has continued to maintain the high standard of quality that has made the product the standard of the industry. Pressure balanced tub and tub/shower valves maintain a preselected shower temperature by instantly and continually equalizing or “balancing” the hot and cold water pressure when pressure demands are made elsewhere in the plumbing system....a flushing toilet, dishwasher or clothes washer. When these demands are created, the unprotected bather would feel a cold shock!

With the Symmons Pressure Balance System, the bather is protected and our system is enhanced by the standard feature of the “maximum temperature limit stop” which provides for a simple screw driver adjustment to restrict handle travel to a desired maximum temperature position.
