Steel and cast-iron pipes are usually cut with an angle
grinder, a tool that was not originally designed for cutting pipes. An angle
grinder is a rather slow and inexact tool when used for pipe cutting. It is a
fire risk, and can cause material damage and occupational hazards. The
innovative Pipe Cutting System 8 solves most common pipe cutting problems.
During pipe cutting, the Pipe Cutting Systems 8 fits firmly on the pipe and the saw blade is always in the correct position. There is no need for steering. The T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8 leaves the cut edges straight and square, with a smooth surface. Sparks and dust are kept to a minimum. The cut is ready for welding with no further preparation needed.
The T-Drill Pipe Cutting System 8 is lightweight, ergonomic and safe to use, even in confined spaces, as the weight of the machine lies on the pipe during cutting. There is no need to lift pipe as they can be cut at ground level. Pipe cutting with an angle grinder or band saw is much more dangerous, exhausting and dirty than with the Pipe Cutting System 8
The need for protection
within the working environment is much less with the Pipe Cutting System 8,
when compared with an angle grinder or band saw. The chips caused by
pipe cutting cool down quickly, and fall very close to the cutting site. Work
safety will be enhanced, as the T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8 does not
require any special skills.
The Pipe Cutting System 8
has a very wide cutting range. It is the only machine that is able to cut pipes
between 1” NPS and 8” NPS in diameter. All commonly used pipe materials can
be cut with T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8.
TCT: Tungsten carbide tips blade for common use.
CERMET: Ceramic plated tips blade for demanding use.
DIAMOND:
Long lasting special diamond blade for cast-iron pipe.
The T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8 is able to cut pipe between 1” NPS and 8” NPS in diameter.
Maximum pipe wall thickness can be .320” in steel, and .450” in plastic.
All commonly used pipe materials, such as mild steel, stainless steel, copper,
cast-iron and plastic can be cut with the T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8.
Cutting pipe with the
T-DRILL
Pipe Cutting System 8 is very easy to learn.
There is no need to lift heavy pipe, as they can be cut easily on the ground.
The T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8 fits firmly on the pipe during cutting,
allowing the user to easily control the machine.
The need for protection
within the working environment is minimal, because Pipe Cutting System 8 does
not cause a hot shower of sparks like an angle grinder does.
It is safer, as the chips caused by pipe cutting cool quickly, and fall to
ground very close to the cutting site.
The workspace required
for pipe cutting with the Pipe Cutting System 8 is approximately three feet.
Adjusting the machine for different diameter pipes and installing on the pipe is
fast and easy.
Cutting small diameter
pipe in exact length is also handy and quick on a bench.
The T-DRILL Pipe Cutting System 8 saw blade is quick and easy to change.
Straight cut and fine edges are immediately ready for joints, or welding.
With the assistance of
the T-DRILL pipe holder, you can cut pipe even faster and easier,
especially with heavy pipe. The T-DRILL
pipe holder set includes one large and two small holders.
